Those familiar with Jani Lane, who is expecting her solo CD Back Down To One line for the same old band of its mandate is a good deal of disappointment. Although the CD is largely driven guitar, left the track high-energy, arrogance hairy sent back.
What is the album offers a set of attractive, well-written tunes that fit perfectly in any season or list of mainstream pop rock of the game. Lane makes a less aggressive sound than what fans can be used for. "Hooked" begins with a haunting acoustic riff, then enlarges and vocal melody reminiscent of a jellyfish. The CD is full of catchy hooks the kinds of plants that stubbornly in your consciousness if you want them there or not.
The themes of most of the songs center around relationships. There are songs of love lost, love found and love that was never there. Lane writes as if he has a wealth of drama in relationships from which to draw universally relatable lyrics. Maybe that's what makes working on the album. Each song paints a picture of a situation that almost everyone has experienced or witnessed. "Better Than You" describes basic ways to keep your partner happy, while "Do not Trust Me", warns that there is often the truth a bad reputation.
Overall, the CD makes a good listen if you like a little rock edge and pop melodies intertwined with pleasant. However, those looking for vulgarity and contempt would be better to dust off their copies of Cherry Pie.

Project Solo :

It is a complete album that was shelved Jani, when he returned to the commandment in 93 There are some demos of some songs finished and the master was published in 2005, with a newly recorded version of "Washington Square" and was due for release in 2005, but then Jani decided to shelve the entire project (again) and record what became "Back Down to One" dominated in 2005 w / complete / bonus track available on the bootleg community.
